Using the windows dialer

I can call the windows dialer.exe easily enough from delphi but I want to be able to pass a selected phone number to it which the modem then dials so that the user can then just pick up the handset and talk. This is porbably easy enough to do through delphi I would imagine but Im running short on time and need to get this working along with a dozen other things by the end of the week so any help would be greatly appreciated.

You are on the wrong way. The best way is to use a Tapi component. Their are several available at torry's. Most of the modems support Tapi.
