using the serial com1 and com2?

hi,

I want to build an application like the hyper-terminal of windows, that connect to the serial com1 or com2 , the make the exchange of information.

is there a class or a package that do that?

Check out the javax.comm package. It is available for download from Sun. I think it is what you are looking for. The link for the download is:
