Using the same value twice for parameter fields

I have a parameter report that uses the same Period End Date from two different tables to run the report. The dates have to be the same, so at this time I have two separate but equal values that must be entered when prompted. Is there any way to enter this parameter value once and have it populate the second Period End Data parameter value.

I don't really understand your issue. Can you give an example of what your data looks like? It isn't apparent to me why you can't use the same parameter twice instead of having two parameters. For example, if you have the following record selection formula, you could simply use the same parameter for each condition:

{table1.PeriodEndDate} <= {?PeriodEnd} and {table2.PeriodEndDate} <= {?PeriodEnd}

Is your suggestion to take one of the parameter fields out of the report and design the field so that it refers to only one parameter entry?

The data structure can be explained this way:

A large employee name table that contains period end dates.(Table A)

An employee data table that contains hours worked for each of the employees in Table A based on a period end date. (Table B)

Yes, if the two parameters will always have the same value, then you only need one parameter.
