Using the "version resource"

What exactly is the version resource used for? Is it possible to link one of the block headers in a version resource to static text on a dialog box? i.e. one of the static texts will display the ProductVersion or CompanyVersion? mlg400@blazemail.com

It records version etc and other identifying information about the program. File version info is a standard Windows facility, you can access the info in a module with the GetFileVersionInfo() function (and a few others). It's used in file viewers, install programs and so on. Within your program you can use standard resource functions to get at the info, I would imagine. Hope that this helped! ;-)
