I am writing a report using v2008 that groups descendingly on proposal asked amount. The detail is all the people that have pending proposals at each respective level. Is there a way to use a group selection formula to take only the 20 highest group amounts but still show all the detail. For example, if this highest proposal level is $30 and the lowest is $1, is there a way to show only groups from $10-$30 while still showing all the detail in those groups?

Place the field you are grouping on in the detail section, insert a maximum on it at the group level, and then go to report->group sort and select topN = 20 and choose maximum of the groupfield descending.
