Does anyone know if it's possible to set up the BB to connect to my PC and use it to dial up a modem at a remote location using an application such as Procom? I have to dial into many systems from home and I don't have a landline.

Some of the BlackBerry devices can be used as modems. But the cost is prohibitive to most people; especially roaming abroad, it can rack up huge bills.

I appreciatre the heads up jpaf. This is a company device and that's what they want me to be able to do so cost is not an issue at this time.
What I need though is how to set it up and what, if anything, I need to set up on the PC as well. Blackberry documents aren't much help on this one.

Just looked through the info on that link and I think that's exactly what I need.

I'll try to set it up and let you know if it works.

Thanks again for your help.

I've not read that link but I've used a BB as a modem many times and it works well. Especially when doing company business if the bill is picked up!!
