Using Syslog Viewer, Getting Notice, mgetty[XXXXXXX]

In my syslog messages, I get a lot of mgetty notices.
The actual notice is:

Oct 31 04:34:12, CUCMPUB, Notice, mgetty[27964], : failed dev=ttyS0, pid=27964, login time out, 4410

The number after the mgetty is always different. I have read that this is related to a serial device. But we are running CUCM 8.5 on a virtual machine, so there is no serial device.
Does anyone know what this is about, or how to stop it ?
