Using SSI inside a Perl Program

Is it possible to use a SSI or its equivalent inside a Perl generated page. I have tried the regular command but of course it is ignored because the page is not a .shtml but a .cgi. Anyone had this problem?

No, because the perl generated page is not parsed by the server as an SSI page.
