This seems like a simple question, but does having the screenupdate set to false affect the command ActiveWorkbook or ActiveSheet? To spell it out better if I have screenupdate set to false and have VBA copy a tab to a new workbook will the activeworkbook option work or will VBA still think that the activeworkbook is the one that is currently showing on the screen?

Hi,

Please post your code. Generally, using Active Anything is not a good habit. There are better ways to code.

But to answer your question directly, no, the active whatever, is the object that your code has selected of activated.
