Acessesing SQL 2000 DB

I’ve currently got a couple of reports that I am running using ReCrystallize to push the parameters to crystal and outputting a report via an .ASP page. All was good until I widened a field on 1 of the reports as the data was not shown in full.
I ran the report in Crystal to check that the data would display correctly, it did. However when resubmitting it through ReCrystallize problems started to occur. The parameter page displays Ok. I enter the parameter data and then forward/return, the .ASP page displays with the following message.

ReCrystallize Warning: Unable to connect to data source using the following information.

Server / ODBC data source: fin_live57.dsn
Database / Table:
User Name: sa
Password: XXXXXXXX
This appears for each of the 7 tables that the report accesses and at the bottom of the screen this message is displayed.

CRAXDRT Error Occurred on Server-2147192184: Server has not yet been opened.

Have checked that the password/Username is correct, and have tried resubmitting it numerous times but still no joy.
Hope this makes sense
Thanks in advance.

I ran into something similar a while back and the way I got it to ultimatly work was to go into the database pulldown in Crystal and use the set datasource location option --- reset the DB & tables to where it was (save the report) and all started working again --- did not make sense to me at all.

Try this and let me know if it does not work.

Thanks for the tip, but alas still doesn't seem to work. I have found a pdf doc on the crystal site which seems to agree with what you said so I'm just running through it at the moment. Im not going to be working for the next week or so, but if i have a result I'll forward you the document for you future reference.

If you changed the database columns as well,
try Database, Verify Database...
