Hey all,

I'm wanting to use the Windows Remote Desktop Connection to connect to my PC at home. The problem is that the IP address that I get from my PC is actually the IP address of the router and RDC doesn't like that.

Does anyone have any clue if this is possible or am I just wasting my time?

Thanks,
Don

VNC listen from the home computer will do it. Or some kind of VPN.

get your public ip, from whatsmyip.com
then setup port fowarding in your router for the port 3389

and connect at work with your public ip

Setup NAT with your router.

And make sure port 3389 TCP inbound to that NAT'd ip address is correct.

:)

If unsure, check your routers manual. Or contact technical support at your internet provider. they may be able to help you.
