I have in the past been able to print out all of my BIOS setting by using the print screen buttons, but now all that happens is my HP695c goes through the motions as if it's going to do it, but fails to actually print anything. The printer works fine when I'm using it normally with Win98se running. The orange light flashes and if I press the button a page is ejected.
Can anyone help with this..as I need to make a copy of my BIOS settings before my CMOS battery runs out..at the moment I get the occasional LOW BATTERY warning.

John,

It sounds like a print buffer overflow actually. One thing to consider is just writing down the settings if your really worried about losing the information. :)

How are you getting the BIOS settings to display on screen?

If you use a command to output to screen, you can always redirect it to a printer, or a text file from a prompt, for example 'dir';

Dir > lpt1
Dir > prn
Dir > anyfile.txt

I assume you're doing this from a prompt. If you're running windows, try running the prompt in a window, you can copy / paste the text, or if you print screen, can paste to paint or any graphic app.

try this.......hold down alt key, then hit print screen key. This will copy the screen picture. now go to paint and paste it then print it from paint. contact: Boo on ICQ #65890908
