I just got a great deal on a postscript board to add to my laser printer. My question is, is there an advantage to using postscript in Unix (I have a text based medical system), and how would I set it up for a Laserjet?
Thanks

I can't think of any real reason that you would want the Post Script card if your system is text based. Post Script is generally used with graphics.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it !

You can try:

cat FILE | /usr/spool/lp/bin/text2post | lp -dPRINTER

replace FILE and PRINTER with your file and your printer and you should be good to go. You can setup a pipe to do this for you instead of having your job go directly to the print spooler.
