Using Picture Objects

PowerPlay 7.3. I'm trying to insert a picture object into the page HEADER. It asks me for the filename and there is a checkbox for "read only" - what's this for?

Anyway, I indicate the name and all is well.

Now I change the actual picture on the disk but the picture in my PP report remains unchanged - it has embedded the picture and not a link to the picture I guess. This is bad. If I distribute reports to other users or systems or divisions, they may have their own picture they want to see.

Any ideas on how to make this save a link and not the actual picture? I tried the INSERT OBJECT and that does do a link but it's not really geared for use in the page header area and when the picture changes, it seems the object gets arbitrarily repositioned which is not all that great.

Appreciate any feedback.
