I have been using illustrator to render work from acad and a program called Sketchup. I have noticed that sometimes when I go to trace the line work (it has been imported as .dwg) the pen tool will actually incorporate the imported lines as part of the line i am tracing. i suspect that I am missing something with regards to importing vector linework. is it possible to close paths simply without redrawing?
Thanks, your replies will save me hours of frustrating tracing (i hope)!

Hi,

Select the white pointer tool in Ilustrator. Select the endpoints of the two lines. Go to the menu 'Object' with the two endpoints still selected and go to the submenu 'Path'> 'Join'.

hope this helps
