Using Parameters in Crosstabs

Are you trying to limit only the crosstab, or all of the data in the report?
If all of the data, then use something like the following in the record selection formula (Report->Edit Selection Formula->Record):
{table.date} = {?dateparm}
If just the crosstab, then I think you'd be best served to create a subreport wherein the parameter is used and place that subreport in the Page Header of the main report.
