We are using FileMaker to send emails with Outlook 2003.

Windows shows a message that a program (FileMaker in this case)is trying to use outlook to send a mail, with the question if it is allowed.
Buttons: Yes, No and Help.
The Yes button is out greyed during approx 5 seconds.
Only after that period one can actually press the Yes button.

No fun if one has to send several mails....

Is there somewhere, something, some setting to use to avoid this message ?

TIA

From what I have read on this in the past, there is no setting or registry entry to disable this.

It is a security setting to avoid a virus using Outlook to send e-mails out. I think this setting is absolutely useless, since your worms and spam trojans use their own SMTP engines anyways...

I found this utility, never used it. They have a pro version that is supposed to eliminate the delay. Good luck, let us know how it turns out.

Please always take the time to backup important data and verify that backup, before making any changes suggested.

Thanks Matt.

Will try that and report back how it went.
