Hello,
I am using Windows XP SP2. I have free email with AOL 9.0 and I use Verizon DSL. I wanted to read/write my email using Outlook 2003. I followed the instructions to setup Outlook and I am able to send mail, I just can't receive mail.
When I test the Account Settings in Outlook, I get the following 2 error messages:
Log onto incoming mail server (POP3): The specified server was found but there was no response from the server. Please verify that the port and SSL information is correct. To access these settings, close this dialog, then click More Settings and click on the Advanced tab.
Find incoming mail server (POP3): Outlook could not connect to the incoming mail server (POP3). The problem could be the server name or port, or your server may not support SSL. Verify your port and SSL settings in More Settings under the Advanced tab.
The POP3 port is 110 and the SMTP is 587.
I have McAfee Firewall and Virus Scan. I tried exiting McAfee, but still no luck.
Thanks,
