I want to evaluate Cognos8 security features.

We want to use the database warehouse security (row level
security) defined in the data warehouse.
Oracle Virtual Databases are in use.

For example, a user logs into Cognos Connection. During the
session the user should not prompted again. Database connection should also be established.

How could this accomplished? What I have to do in Cognos8?
Establish for every user a database connection?

We want to use also our secured 7.3.-Cubes in the Cognos8
environment. Therefore we need the Series 7 namespace.

Shall we use instead of Cognos Access Manager the Novell
e-directory as an external LDAP-source?
Does anyone have experience with Novell eDirectory?
Or integrate with the current Sun One-LDAP?

What are your experiences with interoperability of Series 7.3 and Cognos8?

Thanks in advance.

Erik
