I need to execute a DTS package from within a stored procedure. If I use the DTS Run, I need to hard code the servername, username and password. I am not comfortable harding coding the sa username and password in the sp, and I do not want to encrypt the sp either. The alternative is using OLEDB to run the DTS Package. This works fine, but I am not too familiar with this approach, and have not heard much about this method. Has anyone used OLEDB before to run a DTS Package? Any issues in doing this?

Thanks,
TB

What about using Windows Authentication? Then you wouldn't have to code in the password
