I am working on a system that is written in VB6, using a word.document embedded in an OLE object. I need to be able to determine if the word.document is empty, or changed from initial loading.
We have tried several things.
1) Copying the OLE contents to a clipboard and then pasting the clipboard to a newly opened word document. This creates an error condition when the OLE contents is empty. And does not allow us to know if changes have been made or not.
2) Using the OLE.DataChanged property, but it is always setting the flag to TRUE when the code to expand the display is executed.
Any tips or things we can use ??
