i have set up my outlook express to view my hotmail account. when i set up the account, it asked me what type of incoming mail server i had. i clicked HTTP and it prompted me if the provider was hotmail or other. i clicked hotmail, and the SMTP outgoing box greyed out. i completed the set up and am able to view my hotmail account through OE, but when i send email, it doesn't get there. it also doesn't say there was an error, and the mail appears as 'sent' in the sent items folder.

it's been a while since i had set something up like this, but i remember that i didn't have to set up a SMTP, just had to put hotmail as the HTTP type and it took care of the rest.

any ideas?

okay, i figured something out. the email gets sent if it's actually an address, however if i send it to an email that is a catch-all (any email address of a domain i own and they all dump to same hotmail account) it won't send it.

any ideas?
