Currently I have about 100 free tables in foxpro 6.0. How much work is it to convert to some other database Access, SQL server, DB2, etc.?

Do you have to know that much about the other databases?

It is VERY depended on many things - business logic, way you maintain primary key fields, data structures etc. Certain things for sure are different in other databases, in particular, there are no empty date value - you will probably require to convert empty dates to NULL values. Usually putting all these tables into the VFP database and runnign Upsizing Wizard does converting successfully, however, it might fail in some situations.

There are also DBC2MDB convertor at the (as far as I remember) that could be interesting for you.
