Hello all,

The goal:

When I make an internal call and it goes to VM because that user is on the phone, I want to be able to use direct voice call to barge in and speak to that user over the speaker phone.
Direct voice call is the perfect feature because it can mute the mic on the original call. Override feature creates a conference call and I do not want the original caller to hear the internal conversation.

What I have done:

In the VM box call flow if you press three it will initiate a transfer digit string. This is just basically the FAC for direct voice call followed but that users EXT.
Basically, from a Mitel phone you can press Transfer, then **42 (FAC for direct voice call), the EXT, and then Release. I am just using the NuPoint to accomplish this.
The transfer works perfectly, but only if that set is idle. If the set is busy then a Mitel phone can still direct voice call that ext just fine. It just will not allow you to transfer just like before.

So, if the set is busy, and I want to transfer a direct voice call to that EXT then all I would do is press Transfer, **42 1234 and hang up. When I hang up, it comes back with "Ringing You Back."

If I can't even get the Mitel sets to do this manually then obviously the VM will not succeed. Any suggestions? I have tried everything. I know that this isn't something that Mitel says is possible, but they also told me that transferring a direct voice call, with or without the NuPoint, isn't possible. Even though it works perfectly if the set is idle.

Thanks
