I can ping the box, and arp -a shows both IP addresses it should have.
I can FTP to it, but I don't have a working username/password combo. Does anyone have a pair that allows an FTP session?

The greater problem is NVM4.1 software won't connect.
I specify 192.168.110.10 or .11 and the administrator password of 1020000 (and even 1021234 after I changed it via the phone) either way I get a box pop up stating "Error communicating with server."

Again, the TCP/IP connection seems okay, as Ping and FTP properly communicate with the unit, but NVM is a no go.

Anyone have some light to shed on this one?

What version of software is running on the NAM? If it's 3.0 you need to use the NVM 3 to get in.

The NAM is running 4.1

I have versions 3.0 and 4.0 of the Windows software, as well as another version that says 4.1 on the cover of the CD case, but does not show that in the file name.

Thanks,

Yes I am using a crossover cable...

(If I were not, I would think I would not have any connectivity to the unit.)

(I assume that you have had success FTPing and pinging the unit VIA PPP over a serial connection while not using a crossover cable?)

That's smart. Make him angry and maybe he will help you more!

There is no problem using NVM 4.0 manager software on NVM 4.1 platforms.
Perhaps your copy of NVM Manager or your installation is corrupt.
Have you tried from another workstation/computer?
If you are dead set on access to the file system of the mail you will need to install a ISA video card and enable the monitor in ACCESS2 programming using feature 915 from a programming set.
password = ACCESS2
monitor password = SVGANEEDED
You will also have to press the F1 key as the mail is booting from the small OS/2 logo during the BIOS boot cycle.
From the list of options select to install video card drivers.

the problem is that you don't put the admin mbox and password. it only wants the password ie. 0000 or 1234 in your case.
