using Netdom to join a computer to domain

I am currently using the NETDOM command to join a computer to the domain via script. The join puts the computer into the doamin and the corisponding OU. But can I also put the machine into its correct group at the same time

I have been trying the DSMOD command but you cannot run this command right after the NETDOM command (as far as I can tell) because DSMOD needs to be run while the computer is logged into the domain and it won't be logged into the domain until the next reboot.

any ideas?
