I've got 2 sites, both running 2000. When one site goes down, the internet has gone for the other. I want to add a proxy server on the other site, so if there is a problem the other site is effected. The sites are running as one domain. Can any one think of any problems?

cheers

Depends how they are presently linked. I imagine there would be a gateway at each site for routing between them, and I'm not real sure how routing internet access through a new proxy would effect that. I suppose if one site were a subdomain of the other it might be easier, but it still depends on how the two sites are linked.
