Due to the Progress database we are using, we are limited to Crystal Report v8.5.

I want to link a datafield in a Progress table to one in
an Access table. I can connect to both databases easily enough, but am having trouble creating the link.
It does give me a message that I am using two different
drivers. It also states that I can not link the two fields.

Is there anyway that I can accomplish this in 8.5?

Thanks very much,

Ron Kipfer

The simplest method is to create a link (not an import) to the table within your Access database, then generate a Query within Access that uses both tablkes with the proper joins, and use the Query in Crystal.

Thank you very much. That worked very well.
That is the first time I linked to an external database
and it worked just fine.

I also build a query as you mentioned then linked to it
from Crystal Reports.

I appreciate the help!
