Using MS Word to retrieve SQL data and View in ASP.NET

Here's a question i've been thinking about and doing a little research on but i don't know if it could be done, let alone if anyone has done something like this.

I want to use MS Word to connect to a SQL database retrieve and display the information i tell it to, and then display it via a link in asp.net.

So, click a link that says "view this report" and the report displays in MS Word format in a frame. I have been able to get a Datagrid to display in a frame via ms word...just wondering if anyone has attempted this? been successful? am i wasting my time?? Any help is appreciated.

No but you need to think a little laterally.....

You can use Crystal Reports to view the report then have it export in doc format.
