Greetings,

Could someone point me to any documentation that describes how modem work over a G450 or G350 using a MM710 T1 card? If you have multiple locations/hops to get from a G450 to a G350 and are using a compressed codec, doesn't the system start dopping packets? We have a Cisco network where the calls would be connected to each main node (G450)location and then to a number of smaller offices (G350).

Also trying to find what parameters the card expects for programming. We don't own either device, I'm researching to make sure modem devices will work over these Media Gateways.

Thanks for your help,
Jeff

There is nothing special on the MM710 itself to program for modems.

Go to Avaya's support website (support.avaya.com). On the left, choose "Products" and a window will pop up. Type in 'Avaya Aura' and then choose "Avaya Aura® Communication Manager" from the list. On the left again, choose the plus next to 'Documentation' to open up the choices and choose "Administration & System Programming". Now choose "Avaya Aura® Communication Manager Screen Reference" from the middle of the screen. Once in the PDF, go to chapter 64 "IP Codec Set". Under that you will see that there is an option in the codec set to setup the handling for modems to communicate throughout the voice network.
