Hi,

I need to remember how to set-up a mailbox key for another entension on my OptiPoint phone, ( to be able to get MWI and access mailbox for another prime)

I remember we need the MB or MBLINE key, is this setup in TAPRO or KCSU ?

Thank you

Good luck with that! I have AVST CallXpress and have an extension that is a main answer point for the dept and L2 is the user's private line. I setup the MBLINE button and specified the associated extension (Individual Key Layout on 4000) in our 4000 v5 and the light doesn't come on for that button.

I was told when AVST sends the MSW command it goes to the phone's PLINE and I'm SOL unless I have siemens voicemail in which case it will work then.

So that mission in life was never achieved. If someone/You has any more info on how that whole thing is supposed to work I would appreciate knowing because it would put a smile on someone's face!

My 4000 has a Phonemail connected to a 300e thru CorNet.
I know the MBLINE key works because I set it up many years ago on a Hicom. Must be the same on a 4000....

As far as I know/did, all you have to do is bring up the extension and change that button on that one phone to MBLINE and then in one of the boxes below the button type (for that same key) you enter in the extension number that the MBLINE is supposed to be. If it is more complicated then that maybe that would explain why it doesn't work for me.
