Can u help ?

when I put any mailto html text in our intranet site and try to use it lotus notes returns a File does not exist error. The text string I am using is

at <a href=&quot;mailto:John_Smith@healey-baker.com?Subject=EIS&quot;>John_Smith@healey-baker.com</a>

I am using Ie ver 5.5 and lotus notes ver 5.0.3

Any ideas any one.

Three thoughts:
1) Have you selected the text and chosen &quot;pass-through HTML&quot;?
2) Try changing the anchored text to a non-URL...for example, <a href=mailto:user@company.com>User Name</a>
3) If possible, use the @MailSend formula instead.

Hope this helps. -r

the answer to this is really quite simple
make sure that in internet explorer >>tools>>internet options select the the tab programs and in the line Email
ensure Lotus notes is chosen as the email
apply and OK this

In future your lotus notes comppose email will open and not attempt to open Outlook as before which caused your problem and you can then email to your hearts content

cheers and enjoy
