Using JScript to read database 1

Is it possible to use java script( and not SQL) to read the table ( access data base). If not is there any other widely used language except SQL that can be used and how can that be done?

If you are coding for an intranet environment where you control the server AND the OS used on the workstations to connect, then you can specify Windows9x with IE5+ as the browser, and use the Microsoft-specific extenstion known as data-binding. Read about data-binding at
