Using JDE BLOB files with Crystal 9

Greetings all

Has anyone ever tried using Crystal to include part of an JDE Media Object before:

Here is what I am trying to do:

I have a report in CR9, SQL database obviously JDE front end. Users store Client communications from the call centre in Attached text files through the JDE front end, which converts into a media object and is encrypted.

Is it possible in Crystal to call the encryption Business Function (BSFN) to read the data in the BLOB file?

I think I am grasping at straws, but it is worth a shot.
