Using @IsDocBeingMailed to calc. no. of times a doc. has been mailed

I am trying to calculate the number of times a document has been mailed. I am using the example code straight from the Notes Help documentation: @If(@IsUnavailable(TimesMailed);0;TimesMailed+@IsDocBeingMailed), where TimeMailed is a computed field on the form. The value for TimesMailed stays 0 no matter how many times I mail the document. Any thoughts?
