Hi

I am using Visual FoxPro Tables in a report which are accessed using ODBC. When I go to the Visual linking expert and choice options after linking my tables it does not show my indexes. My CDX is named and in the same location as the tables. Even if I click on Tables the Add indexes button is grayed out. How do I get it to see my indexes?

Thanks

Anthony,

Index management does not apply to ODBC reports, only to datafile reports. You can't specify indexes through ODBC. It is left up to the database to optimize SQL using the available indexes. That means that if you have a unique index or a descending index you can't use it throught Crystal.

I know this is a pain, becuase I cut my teeth on R&R Report writer, and being able to choose the index and scope the index was a huge time saver.

Sorry to bring bad news. [sig]<p>Ken Hamady- href= Reports Training by Ken Hamady</a><br>[/sig]
