Using importer.exe to import NAV client server

Hi

I need to have some NT servers with NAV Corporate updated by a primary NAV server. Unfortunately, one domain containing 3 servers is not displayed in the Windows browser list. Those 3 servers were previously updated by a local server that is now taken off the network.

I followed the procedure described by Symantec to change the parent server into the new primary NAV server (copy grc.dat, ...) and this works fine (parent server name was changed). However, on the parent server I can't see the clients. I know there are limitations with WINS between the two domains so I used the importer.exe to add the remote client servers, but all I see is an almost empty registry key, even after an intense discovery.

Since the importer tool's syntax is quite simple I guess something else is not configured correctly. What network resources does this tool need to function properly? Between the NAV server and client a ping is possible and no firewall is blocking anything. I tried using Symantec's DebugOn.reg tool to see what was wrong, but I did not see any "Alive" entries in the DOS box..

Does someone have a tip or know what I could try to see the client servers?

Thanks
