using imap with outlook express

I have been testing using imap with outlook express rather than pop3. When deleting a message it just greys out and gets a red x on it. Is there a setting that will make it just delete.

thanks for the reply, is it also possible to not show the inbox. Just Other folders that are created. I now you can hide other folders just now the inbox.
