using IE from the command line

I can open IE from the command line to "run" an ASP page to do some database work. This works fine, but the IE window won't close by itself. The batch file I wrote to open IE will be scheduled to run automatically, so the IE window should close by itself.

Can anyone think of a way to do that?
 
in windows XP tskill iexplore will shut down all instances of iexplorer
 
Click on a blank area of the page and use this keyboard shortcut ALT+F4
