Using iChat over VPN

We have two offices connected through a Watchguard Firebox firewall. The two offices are connected via a site-to-site VPN through the firewall.

We have 2 users that are trying to use iChat AV and Rendaveus (sp?) over the VPN but they can't see each other as online in iChat. All the ports are open on both ends of the VPN tunnel but they still can't see each other to initiate the AV connection.

Does anyone know how to make this work, or how to do a direct connection between two people via their IP addresses?

Any help would be great.

Rendezvous is a LAN protocol only.
They would have to do this over the public iChat (via .Mac or AIM accounts)
