We have been having problems with corruption in a database we worked on. We use html code in one of the fields. My question is this: If you have links to outside websites, images and/or documents in this field, could it be causing the problems we are having. We keep getting the error: "The search key was not found in any record."

Would appreciate any help.

Thanks,
Michelle

Michelle,

Since it has been 2 days since your post and there have been no responses, it usually means that either nobody knows, or nobody wants to touch it. I'm in the nobody knows category, but just thought i'd ask if you had searched for that error description in the MS Knowledge Base.

I welcome you to Tek-Tips, and I hope that you understand that anyone who responds does so as a volunteer, freely giving of their time to help a fellow professional. Time is precious to all of us.

The question you've asked is so broad that there is no place to begin, and further, it's not clear what exactly is being asked as there are potentially three separate and distinct issues being addressed (which may be why a lot of people don't want to touch it).
1) Database Corruption
2) Using HTML Code in one of the fields
3) Search Failures
These issues may or may not be related, and there is insufficient information provided to even begin to try and fit the pieces together. The database corruption issue alone could be all over the map.

With that in mind, I suggest that you try to re-phrase a question, being somewhat specific as to the issue you would like to help with.

Good Luck
