I have to do some coding for another company to send automated emails. They insist that instead of using a console app that I use an asp.net web page called from an HTA. I'm not familiar with HTA's and searched fruitlessly to find out something relevant. Can someone point me in the right direction so I can complete this assignment? Thanks!!

this seems rather complicated. why not setup a windows service to run on the server, or create a web service which manages email messages.

creating either is very simple VS2003/2005 has built-in projects for both types.

a web page is designed to require human interaction. so there's nothing automated about it.

at the surface it seems this is their "best" solution because it's the only one they know.

You're right. Unfortunately I'm just a peon (aka pawn) here. The king and queen said use HTA. I have figured out how to do this. Thanks!!!
