Hi,

I was told recently at an Avaya meeting that the IPO supported the Grandstream ATA's for adding analogue devices over VoIP to the IPO 406v2. I now have a box full of HT-386's and can't seem to get it to register to my IPO. Any ideas? It seems to be more SIP orientated, obviously the SIP code isnt available until v4.00 of IPO but the VoIP extn side of the PBX should support them apparently but I don't know how - has anyone done it before?

Help much appreciated.
Andrew.

According to Grandstream's website, the HT386 is a SIP-box.
So you can forget all about getting it working on an IPO!

Sorry :(

jml2665 I'm not sure what licenses you are referring to? The IPO doesnt need licenses for VoIP devices (hard phones) as far as I know. And thanks Nuggifirst! I'm hoping you're wrong (with all respect!)..........

Andrew (feeling rather concerned!)

I've just seen the endpoint licences on the pricelist! Looks like its the only license they do not offer on a trial license - great! I'll have a word with Avaya on Monday and see what the score is.

Okay! Then just find one example of a succesful connection between a SIP-box and an IPO!

Believe me! You won't get the ATA to work on the IPO :(

You need to have a 3rd party IP Endpoint license. However, if that device only does SIP, it won't even know how to talk to the IPO, as the IPO doesnt' speak SIP.
