Hi

I am really an NEC tech but we use (in Australia) a system known as the Kirk Dect system (also known as Polycom Dect) and as the handsets are quite pricey people have been looking for cheaper handsets to use when an industrially rated solution isn't required. It has been found that the Siemens Gigaset handsets can be registered to these systems and I am told they can also be used on the Ericsson Dect systems. I have come across a site that has a downloadable spreadsheet that converts the Gigaset IPEI number to an IPUI (I think I got those the right way round) which gives you the information needed to register these handsets so FYI here it is.....

I hope this is of help.

You can register DECT handset of any model and brand to the MD110 and MX-ONE, but since Aastra MD110 and MX-ONEs DECT system is af the SARI type you will not get handover to work, if you have more than one ELU-31 board in your system.
Therefore the general hint is: Only use Aastra DT570, DT590, dt290, DT292, DT390 and DT690 to ben used in MD110 and MX-ONE systems.
KIRK DECT handsets (Polycom) with have been manaufctured here in Denmark can be registered with MD110 and MX-ONE, but handover will fail. Same with Siemens Gigaset.
(Have experienced this myself).

when the dect system is a Ericsson BusinessPhone you can use Gigaset phones WITH handover.
