Guys,
I got a Fedora 4 installation and a set of Travan-3 (QIC-3020) tapes and a drive. I have some data on some of the tapes that I would like to look at and see if it's of any use (old backups) but FC4 doesn't appear to have ftape configured by default.
Any suggestions on how to get ftape working under FC4?
I've downloaded the source but it blows up everywhere when I try to compile it. It's very old and only caters for kernels up to 2.4 and I'm running the default 2.6.11-1.1369_FC4smp (yeah, I got multi processors).
I also got the source for my kernel and that appears to have some ftape source in it. I tried a quick compile but that blew up too. Maybe I need to spend some time configuring before I try a compile.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
