Hi, I'm trying to put a footer in my word document, but in Word 2000 the bottom margin defaults to 3.08. If you accept this the footer is really high up the page, and if you ignore it and put a smaller margin, the footer doesn't print.

Does anyone know a way around this?

Thanks
Kim

I think, from experience, that if your page margin is set high enough, it will "overlay" your footer. Try changing the page margin at the bottom to something lower, then your footer. You can also use the rulers on the left-hand side when in header/footer view, and also when in document view to do this quickly to see if it works. I had trouble with half my footer toward the bottom being cut off, and not printing, and it was just that the document bottom margin was too high.
