First up, apologies for the handle!

What I would like to know, is can you get a purely flash-based site to work with a database, so that visitors can enter a query and get the site to display results. This was previously done in ASP on the existing site at and and before I dive in I want to know if I can do it in just flash, or do I have to mix flash and ASP?
I have checked previous threads, and they don't seem to answer the question.
Thanks.
Andy Cole.

Hi Andy

It's not something I've tried so I don't know the answer, but I'm sure when Old wakes up he'll get his search engine in a high gear for you.

If you're describing a 'search' utility there was a thread on this a couple of days ago.
