Guys ..

Got another question .. Im using BackUpExec 8.6,

1. what is to proper configuration -in using the Exchange Agent
2. what is the addition features of BackUpExec that should be installed or considered - in using Exchange Agent

Note:

We are only Backing Up the Directory Services and nforamation Store - Nothing Else.

Backup Directory Store and Information Store with full backups nitely. Do not select the actual file level directory where Exchange is installed in your backups, unless you stop all Exchange services. Otherwise, Backup Exec skips the open database and transaction log files. So even if you were to restore from a file-level backup of Exchange when the Exch services were started, after the restore and reboot, Exch services would probably not start. You would wind up reinstalling Exchange.

By the way we are Using Exchange 5.5 SP3 and Winnt 4.0 SP6

The method was like this .. when you open the Veritas .. and go to the Backup Page ..
there is

1. the List of Drives
2. the Exchange Directory
3. the Exchange Information Store
4. the Exchange Mailboxes

We just check the Exchange Directory and Exchange Iformation Store .. and we run the BackUp ...

Is my procedure Ok?
Any more suggestions?
