Rather than using Outlook to access email from an Exchange 5.5 email account can it be done from IE5.0? If so how?

The other question I have is how to reroute incoming email from within Exchange 5.5. I have a web application that needs to email a user via the ccmail connector. Is there a way to email a SMTP user on the Exchange server and then have Exchange automatically reroute the email to a ccmail user listed in the recipients directory? Thanks for the help.

JKT

Hi,

The first problem is solved by installing Outlook Web Access which is included in Exchange 5.5. When finished installing open a browser and point to <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> Outlook Web Access requires IIS.

The second problem is solved by forwarding your e-mail to the custom recipient. This is done in the Advanced tab of the properties of the mailbox you want to forward all e-mails from. There you can forward all e-mail to an alternate recipient.

Regards

Lars
lardum is correct. But to add to his 2nd answer, be sure that forwarding to other addresses is enabled in the Internet Mail Connector. Otherwise it won't work.
Dan
