Hi all,

I have been lumbered with installing McAfee EPO on a new server having not used it before. I have got it up and running, I have added my packages in and updated the central repositry but I don't know how to install VirusScan on a client machine using EPO?

Can someone give me a dummies guide please?

Thanks.

You can download all the manuals + a handy ePO walkthrough guide from the Mcafee support portal, look under "Support by Reading" and "Product Documentation"

As a quick pointer, you now need to get the ePO agent installed on all your clients. Once you have this done you can begin to use ePO to push out VSE etc.

Briefly,

In EPO rightclick your site, select New->computer. Add a pc in the popup box, it will then appear in your site.

Rightclick the pc you just added and select Send Agent Install. Configure as needed, click OK.

Within 10 minutes or so the newly installed agent will check in and start responding to configured policies. Have the VSE install configured as a policy, and everything else is automatic.

Good Luck.
